Spring ’26 Release Report and Dashboard Features πŸ“Š

With the upcoming Spring ’26 release we have a few new features for Reports and Dashboards. Let’s take a look at what we are getting.

Use Table Settings From Report

When we add components to Dashboards we have had the ability for the component to use chart settings from the report. Now we have the same functionality when adding tables to a Dashboard. That changes with the new release where we now have the option to inherit settings from their source reports. This means that groupings, summaries, bucket fields and other report-level configurations now carry through automatically into Lightning dashboard tables β€” saving you time and reducing duplication between what you see in the report and what you present in the dashboard. This beta feature will now become generally available.

.

Custom Disclaimers on exported Reports

When exporting there is a default disclaimer that displays “Confidential Information – Do Not Distribute” in the footer. There has been the option to remove this discalimer entirely. Now in Spring’ 26 we have the option to use a custom disclaimer to dsiplay whatever text we want to. This feature needs to be turned on in the Report and Dashboard Settings in Setup and it is universal, meaning only one disclaimer can be displayed across all exported Reports. You can only add your customized disclaimer below the default. This will be a feature that the legal and compliance teams will want to know about.

Share Report and Dashboard Folders Searching by Username

We all know that Folder access controls what Report and Dashboards users can access and sharing these Folders needs to be done with caution as to not give access to something someone should not have. This new feature adds an additional gaurdrail now allowing us to share Folders by seraching Username instead of just Name. This may not seem like a big deal but if your Org has multiple Jim Smith’s or Sally Robert’s you could easily share the Folder with the wrong person. By using the Username, we know that each is a completley unique identity.

Data 360 Multiple Row-Level Formulas

We’ve been begging for this feature for standard Reports and Dashboards since the laucnh of row-level formuals. I have a had several conversation with the product team about being able to have multip row-level formuals over the last few years and they have expalined that there is a significant performance drop when multiplying these that they’ve been trying to solution for. We now have the option to use up to five row-level formulas in Data 360 Reports. While it is only now available for Data 360 Reports, I am hopeful that in the not so distance future it’ll be available across the board.

Closing Thought

If you’re planning your Spring ’26 rollout, now is a great time to explore these features in a sandbox org or pre-release environment and update your internal documentation so that teams are ready to take full advantage once the production upgrade lands.
